The Hasanlu Cup is a remarkable gold vessel discovered in 1957 at Hasanlu Tepe, near Naqadeh in north-western Iran. Weighing approximately 950 grams, it dates to the late Iron Age, around the 9th century BCE. Its surface is decorated with intricate repoussƩ figures depicting an elaborate ritual and mythological narrative, offering valuable insight into the worldview and beliefs of the people of that era.

The cup is regarded as an outstanding example of the skill and creativity of Iranian goldsmiths during this period. Today, it is preserved at the National Museum of Iran, where it stands not merely as a precious gold artifact, but as a living testament to the continuity of art and culture through some of the most challenging periods of history.
