ā“‚ļøanthra spenta is referred to as frahangān frahanga , that is, "the knowledge of all knowledge"

Literally, "Beneficent Immortals", these are the highest spiritual beings created by Ahura Mazda. Their names are:

  • Vohu Mano (Phl. Vohuman): lit. Good Mind. Presides over cattle.
  • Asha Vahishta (Phl. Ardwahisht): lit. Highest Asha, the Amahraspand presiding over Asha and fire.
  • Khshathra Vairya (Phl. Shahrewar): lit. 'Desirable Dominion', the Amahraspand presiding over metals.
  • Spenta Armaiti (Phl. Spandarmad): lit. 'Holy Devotion', the Amahraspand presiding over the earth
  • Haurvatat (Phl. Hordad): lit. 'Perfection or Health'. Presides over water.
  • Ameretat (Phl. Amurdad): lit. 'Immortality', the Amahraspand presiding over the Earth.

Concept of prayer in Yasna 58

Prayer benefits and gives success. It should be done with righteousness and humility, accompanied by good thoughts, words and deeds. Such prayers protect us against evil and wicked men. When we dedicate our wealth and our body to the prayers, our soul gets protection, defence and overall fortification. We should rejoice while doing prayers, we should willingly do prayers, we should concentrate while doing prayers, we should serve while doing prayer. We should pray in all humility. (Yasna Hā 58.1-3)

WHAT IS MEDITATION???

Meditation is the focusing of the mind ā€“ either on

  1. Physical sensations at that moment ā€“ breathing; focusing awareness on parts of the body.
  2. Sound ā€“ chants (manthra), prayers. Focusing the awareness on the sound of the words blocks out external sensory perceptions, including the boundary of the self.
  3. Object ā€“ fire, picture, image.

GanjNameh-Hamedan

Ganjnameh (Persian: ŚÆŁ†Ų¬ā€ŒŁ†Ų§Ł…Ł‡, romanized: Ganjnāme, lit.ā€‰'Treasure Book') is located 12 km southwest of Hamadan (ancient Ecbatana) in western Iran, at an altitude of c.ā€‰2000 meters across Mount Alvand. The site is home to two trilingual Achaemenid royal inscriptions. The inscription on the upper left was created on the order of Achaemenid King Darius the Great (r.ā€‰522ā€“486 BC) and the one on the right by his son King Xerxes the Great (r.ā€‰486ā€“465 BC).
