Tabriz – The Deputy Director of Housing and Building Affairs at the East Azerbaijan Department of Roads and Urban Development has announced that eviction orders against tenants will be prohibited until the end of year, as part of measures aimed at supporting renters and stabilizing the housing market.

According to the official, the decision has been adopted to protect tenant households from housing insecurity while maintaining greater stability in the rental sector. During this period, eviction orders may not be issued against tenants whose rental agreements fall under the applicable regulations and government directives.

The official also stated that rent increases must remain within the ceilings established under the government's rental market regulations. Property owners are required to comply with the approved limits when renewing or extending lease agreements.

The measure is intended to ease financial pressure on tenants, promote stability in the housing market, and reduce disputes between landlords and renters. Authorities noted that tenants who encounter violations of the regulations may report them through the appropriate legal and administrative channels for review.
