Ferdowsi portrayed women as influential and very strong; it does not matter whether they are in the position of wives, mothers or children. All of them are capable and effective women. Unlike the dominant culture of Western classical literature that does not give them a second chance, Ferdowsi has considered such an opportunity for the characters of Shahnameh, especially the women. Look at Shakespeare's story "Romeo and Juliet"; when the love of these two heroes takes a path that is not acceptable to the people, they have no choice but to die. In this respect, Ferdowsi's view is much more positive and humane than the creators of Western and American classics.
